I recently purchased a Blokees Iron Patriot figurine and I’d like to talk about it today!

My Blokees Iron Patriot figurine.
What are Blokees?
People use the word Blokees in different ways. First, Blokees is a company that produces collectible plastic model figurines. These figurines have the Blokees brand and are referred to as Blokees themselves. At the time of this writing, the most popular Blokees are the Transformers line. But Blokees has been exploring other licenses, coming up with other series like Ultraman and Pokemon. Check out the official Blokees website for more information about them.
This year (2025), Blokees released the Marvel Infinity Saga Superhero Series 03 line of figurines. The Blokees Iron Patriot figurine that I’ll be reviewing today is part of the Marvel Infinity Saga Superhero Series 03 line. Note that Marvel Blokees are blind boxes – you don’t know what figurine you’ll get until you open it.
Blokees Marvel General Stuff
The Blokees Marvel Infinity Saga Superhero Series 03 figurines are very similar to each other. Most of the figurines use the same parts for the chest and torso internals, arms, and legs. So, what can be said about a specific figure in terms of assembly and articulation also applies to other figurines in the same line. A Blokees Marvel figure comes disassembled inside a sealed opaque package. All the pieces are already cut and either colored or pre-painted. Even decals are already attached, so all you need to do is put the pieces together. Series 03 has the improved knee joints from Series 02 that offers better leg articulation. In Series 03, these knee joints are already assembled out of the box, which is worth mentioning because they were hard to put together.

Having fun with my Marvel Blokees figurines.
Anyone used to Blokees figures should find assembly to be an easy task. There isn’t a need to attach any decals or stickers since they already come attached to the parts. With the amount of Blokees experience under my belt, assembling the rest of the figure parts was very easy. One minor issue that I have is that it’s quite easy for a part to get dislodged, especially when posing them. But these figurines are meant for display and not for any rough play. Any part that’s dislodged during posing or handling can easily be put back again.
These Marvel Blokees figures also have decent articulation, which I didn’t expect for a small figurine that requires assembly. There are hinge joints for the knees and elbows, and ball-and-socket joints for the shoulders, wrists, hips, and ankles. The neck piece allows for the head to have some rotation. When assembled, these Marvel Blokees figures are definitely poseable.
Appearance and Details
I don’t expect one-to-one accuracy with the reference material, but I still expect these figurines to be close to what they are representing. It looks like Blokees Iron Patriot is based on Iron Patriot from Iron Man 3.

When I originally assembled Blokees Iron Patriot, I was quite impressed. It seemed to have a lot of detail to it, especially the sculpt of the pieces. But now that I’m able to compare it with another reference, I can see that the figurine has several coloring errors. The head looks great, with a silver faceplate that correctly has red linings around the outer edge and the eyes. The faceplate also has engravings in the sculpt that are similar to the source. The shoulder-mounted gun is all in metallic gray. It is connected via a ball joint which gives the gun a wide range of motion.

Upper body of Iron Patriot.
I was initially impressed with the chest pieces of Blokees Iron Patriot because it has a silver inner layer that adds definition to the star and the rectangle-shaped arc reactor. The colors of the chest are accurate enough, with some red and silver in the right places and red and white decals on the torso. However, the chest pieces are a little too thin, which is a problem that Blokees War Machine also had. This makes most Blokees Iron Man figures look heftier in comparison.

Right side of Iron Patriot.
Most of the errors can be found in the arms and legs of Blokees Iron Patriot. Thankfully, the shoulder covers are connected to the shoulder parts so they move together. I like that there’s a decal showing “FF-445” on the left shoulder cover specifically because this matches the source. The shoulder covers are missing some red and silver. The shoulder parts come in blue, with some red and white decals in front. The red and white should go all around the upper arm though. I think Blokees should have used metallic red for the shoulder parts instead of metallic blue.

Iron Patriot comes with two pairs of blue hands.
The lower arm correctly comes in metallic blue with a red and silver forearm cover, but the hands are also blue when they should have been metallic red. Check any image reference of Iron Patriot from Iron Man 3 and you’ll see that the hands are red. Blokees Iron Patriot only comes with two pairs of hands: neutral open hands and palms facing forward.

Lower body of Iron Patriot.
The legs of Blokees Iron Patriot have similar issues. There are red and white decals in front of the hip parts and just below the knees. These decals only cover the front though when the red and white of the actual armor goes all around the hips and lower legs.

Back of Iron Patriot.
All that missing red and silver (or white) is glaringly obvious when you take a look at Iron Patriot’s back. Aside from the correctly-colored forearm covers, everything at the back of this figurine is simply metallic blue.

Iron Patriot and Iron Monger.
Finally, Blokees Iron Patriot comes with two energy blast attachments that can be used with both types of hands that the figurine comes with..
Conclusion
Objectively, Blokees Iron Patriot is a decent figure with some coloring issues. The model kit pieces are well sculpted. You can easily replace its blue hands with spare ones from your Blokees Iron Man figures. And some metallic red paint can be handy in adding a little more red to this predominantly blue figurine.

“WAR MACHINE ROX”
What I really hate about Blokees Iron Patriot is how out of place the figure is in the set. Infinity Saga Series 03 is centered on Avengers: Infinity War, and Iron Patriot simply isn’t connected to that movie. The set already has three Iron Man figures in it (two Mark L figures and Hulkbuster), so it didn’t need another armored figure. Blokees could have used this slot for characters like short hair Thor with Stormbreaker, blonde Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Drax, or even one of the Black Order members could have been. I hate that Iron Patriot got made in Blokees form so soon and I don’t know anyone who would want this figurine aside from completionists.
