I recently purchased a Blokees Hulk figurine and I’d like to talk about it today!

My Blokees Hulk figure.
What are Blokees?
People use the word Blokees in different ways. First, Blokees is a company that produces collectible plastic model figurines. These figurines have the Blokees brand and are referred to as Blokees themselves. At the time of this writing, the most popular Blokees are the Transformers line. But Blokees has been exploring other licenses, coming up with other series like Ultraman and Pokemon. Check out the official Blokees website for more information about them.
Last October 2024, Blokees released the Marvel Infinity Saga Superhero Series 01 line of figurines. The Blokees Hulk figurine that I’ll be reviewing today is part of the Marvel Infinity Saga Superhero Series 01 line. Note that Marvel Blokees are blind boxes – you don’t know what figurine you’ll get until you open it.
Blokees Marvel General Stuff
The Blokees Marvel Infinity Saga Superhero Series 01 figurines are very similar to each other. Most of the figurines use the same parts for the chest and torso internals, arms, and legs. So, what can be said about a specific figure in terms of assembly and articulation also applies to other figurines in the same line. A Blokees Marvel figure comes disassembled inside a sealed opaque package. All the pieces are already cut and either colored or pre-painted. Even decals are already attached, so all you need to do is put the pieces together.

Having fun with my Marvel Blokees figurines.
Anyone used to Blokees figures should find assembly to be an easy task, especially since there isn’t a need to attach any decals or stickers. Even with a little bit of Blokees experience under my belt, I had a little bit of trouble assembling Blokees Hulk. He’s a larger figure so he’s got a few parts that are different from the regular Marvel Blokees figurine. After I figured out the new parts, it was quite easy again. One minor issue that I have is that it’s quite easy for a part to get dislodged, especially when posing them. But these figurines are meant for display and not for any rough play. Any part that’s dislodged during posing or handling can easily be put back again.
These Marvel Blokees figures also have decent articulation, which I didn’t expect for a small figurine that requires assembly. There are hinge joints for the knees and elbows, and ball-and-socket joints for the shoulders, wrists, hips, and ankles. The neck piece allows for the head to have some rotation. When assembled, these Marvel Blokees figures are definitely poseable.
Appearance and Details
I don’t expect one-to-one accuracy with the reference material, but I still expect these figurines to be close to what they are representing. Hulk’s design in the MCU didn’t change drastically until Endgame, so I think it’s safe to assume that Blokees Hulk was based on The Avengers 2012 film.

Blokees Hulk is larger than the other Marvel Blokees. He’s got bigger shoulder pieces and thicker thighs. His hands are also larger and thankfully come as closed fists. Both hands are hollow at the palms, but that shouldn’t be much of an issue.

Blokees Hulk also has larger legs and feet. I’m glad that Blokees actually gave Hulk feet and leg pieces instead of their usual high-cut boots. He’s got slightly different parts for the elbow and knee joints to ensure that he still has the same level of articulation as the other Series 01 figures. Despite being larger than the standard Marvel Blokees, Hulk isn’t that much larger. So don’t expect him to be up to scale in terms of size.

Blokees Hulk barely fits in the included stand.
Even if Hulk doesn’t have a costume per se, Blokees still put in the effort to give some detail on the figurine. Blokees Hulk has some dark green highlights on his pectoral muscles. His torso has decals for his abs. He’s also got enlarged neck muscles, helping add to the figurine’s height. His back doesn’t have any painted highlights but it is shaped to emphasize his back muscles. And of course, Hulk has his angry facial expression.

The mean green machine.
I don’t know if you’ve noticed it yet, but Blokees Hulk comes in the wrong shade of green. His color actually matches Ang Lee’s Hulk better than the Marvel Studios Hulk. To be honest, I only noticed this after I had looked up some possible references for the figurine.

Closed fists are a must so we put these figurines in punching poses.
Frankly, I don’t mind this at all. Blokees Hulk is green, and that’s what’s important. This shade of green is consistent with other incarnations of Hulk, so it doesn’t ruin the figure for me at all. Purists might take issue though, and I’d understand if they do.
Conclusion
I’m quite satisfied with Blokees Hulk. There’s really nothing wrong with the figurine, aside from coming in the wrong shade of green. But like I said, I don’t mind it at all. I actually think that the Marvel Studios Hulk should have been a lot more greener.

“Hulk smash!”
I can think of a few ways to improve the figurine, though. Longer thighs could have helped emphasize his larger size. An extra pair of hands would have been great. Hulk could have had open palm hands so he can do his clapping attack. Or grabbing hands so we can recreate that famous scene in The Avengers where Hulk grabbed Loki and bashed the latter against the floor multiple times. But these are just things that could have made the figurine better. Out of the box, Blokees Hulk is just fine.
