I recently purchased the Champion Class Thor model kit from Blokees and I’d like to talk about it today!

My Champion Class Thor model kit.
What are Blokees?
People use the word Blokees in different ways. First, Blokees is a company that produces collectible plastic model figurines. These figurines have the Blokees brand and are referred to as Blokees themselves. At the time of this writing, the most popular Blokees are the Transformers line. But Blokees has been exploring other licenses, coming up with other series like Ultraman and Pokemon. Check out the official Blokees website for more information about them.

In 2024, Blokees started releasing Marvel Infinity Saga Series 01 figurines. These small model kits are considered Hero-10 Class and come in blind boxes. In 2025, Blokees started releasing Champion Class model kits for their Marvel Infinity Saga product line. Champion Class model kits are slightly taller (approximately 13.4 cm high) than the Hero-10 Class and do not come in blind boxes. The Marvel Infinity Saga Champion Class model kits are more similar to other model kits in that the parts of the figurine are still affixed in separate frames called runners, and assembling the model kits takes quite a bit of time.
Assembly
To provide context, let me first admit that I am not an experienced model kit builder. The last time I assembled a model kit was more than twenty years ago, so these opinions are coming from a novice. And as a novice, my experience in assembling Champion Class Thor was relatively smooth with only a few issues. The assembly instructions that came with this model kit was quite easy to understand, despite being in Chinese. Each part is clearly illustrated and labelled with the runner and part number.

What gave me problems in assembly were really small parts, such as the ball joints in each wrist and the ball joints that made up the “pelvis” of the model. These were challenging because of their small size, so it was tough for me to push them snugly together. I have to admit, my thumbs were a little sore due to pushing these small pieces together.
Appearance and Details
Even from the previews, I was disappointed with the Champion Class Thor model kit because the kit doesn’t come with a cape. The model kit is based on Thor’s appearance in Avengers: Infinity War where he had a predominantly black costume. However, I still bought the model kit because I knew I would be able to find some alternatives for a cape.

Champion Class Thor.
Even if Champion Class Thor comes in all black, Blokees still put in the effort to match details. His armor has the six circles from his chest to waist, all of which have some silver highlights. The armor has grooves and patterns that match the source closely.

Thor’s upper body.
Champion Class Thor’s hair matches the character’s hair from Avengers: Infinity War. He’s even got the scar over his right eye that the character earned in Thor: Ragnarok. The right eye is red and the left eye is blue, which is accurate based on the character’s real eye and the replacement eye given by Rocket. Of the upper body, my only complaint is how the shoulders separate from the chest. There should have been a cover or extension of sorts that would make the joints appear more organic.

Right side of Champion Class Thor.
From the sides, it’s the same thing. Everything is in black, which is boring but accurate to the source material. Champion Class Thor’s upper arms have the chainmail pattern. Down from the elbow, he’s got his forearm guards and straps wrapped around them. His legs have similar markings to that of the original costume. And while the boots look like two separate parts, they have grooves and imprints that look like the character’s actual boots.

The back of Champion Class Thor.
Unsurprisingly, the back of the Champion Class Thor model kit is more of the same. I really can’t fault Blokees since they’re just being true to the source. And I’d rather have a boring figurine in all black, for as long as its details are accurate.
Accessories and Additional Parts
Unlike Champion Class Iron Man Mark LXXXV, I didn’t expect a lot of accessories and attachments for Champion Class Thor. Generally I’m happy with what this model kit came with, except for two omissions which I’ll mention later. First, he’s got the Thanos-killing weapon Stormbreaker. He’s got three different pairs of hands: closed fists, relaxed open hands, and hands made for holding Stormbreaker.

Thor’s alternate hands and head.
Champion Class Thor also has an alternate head with an angry expression. This head is to represent Thor as electricity is surging to and from his body. And of course, we have the surging electricity represented by soft clear blue plastic pieces.

Lightning attachments.
Two are replacements for the topmost discs on Thor’s armor. There’s a piece that wraps around Thor’s waist which represents the electricity coming out of the other four discs on his armor. Each arm also has its own piece of plastic electricity. And finally, there’s a large piece that fits snugly on the blade side of Stormbreaker.

Champion Class Thor with his electricity attachments.
All the blue electricity surrounding Champion Class Thor’s upper body does help make the figure look less plain. But the absence of a red cape is really felt. Thor had the cape in his Infinity War costume, and this model kit should have had one. Someone told me that if Blokees did include a cape, it was likely to be a plastic one. And they’ll end up replacing the plastic cape with a wired cloth custom cape. I would have wanted the option of a plastic cape or a cloth cape.

Champion Class Thor with cape and flight stand.
I also don’t understand why this model kit doesn’t come with a flight stand. Champion Class Iron Man Mark LXXXV had a really good one. Thor can fly, and he flew all over Wakanda in Avengers: Infinity War. I would gladly pay extra if this model kit had the same flight stand that the Iron Man model kit had.

Thor has a shoulder plate where you can affix a cape under.
Fortunately, it was easy for me to find a custom cape. And I can get similar flight stands from elsewhere, too. I don’t know if this was by design, but Champion Class Thor has a shoulder plate which allows for a cloth cape to be inserted. At least I don’t have to worry about using adhesives just to put a cape on my Thor figurine.
Conclusion
I can’t speak for others, but Champion Class Thor really felt lacking without his trademark cape. Since I was able to find one for my figurine, I’m quite happy now. Other than that glaring omission, this model kit is really good. Despite coming in mostly black, Blokees still took care to ensure that there were enough accurate details to make the figure look really good.

“I’m still worthy!”
If you don’t mind a Thor without a cape, or if you can easily get one (either by purchasing one or making it yourself), then I highly recommend getting the Champion Class Thor model kit. This is only the second Champion Class model kit by Blokees for the Marvel Infinity Saga line, and I already can’t wait to see more.
