I recently purchased a Blokees Ant-Man figurine and I’d like to talk about it today!

Blokees Ant-Man

My Blokees Ant-Man figure.

What are Blokees?

People use the word Blokees in different ways. First, Blokees is a company that produces collectible plastic model figurines. These figurines have the Blokees brand and are referred to as Blokees themselves. At the time of this writing, the most popular Blokees are the Transformers line. But Blokees has been exploring other licenses, coming up with other series like Ultraman and Pokemon. Check out the official Blokees website for more information about them.

Last 2024, Blokees released the Marvel Infinity Saga Superhero Series 02 line of figurines. The Blokees Ant-Man figurine that I’ll be reviewing today is part of the Marvel Infinity Saga Superhero Series 02 line. Note that Marvel Blokees are blind boxes – you don’t know what figurine you’ll get until you open it.

Blokees Marvel General Stuff

The Blokees Marvel Infinity Saga Superhero Series 02 figurines are very similar to each other. Most of the figurines use the same parts for the chest and torso internals, arms, and legs. So, what can be said about a specific figure in terms of assembly and articulation also applies to other figurines in the same line. A Blokees Marvel figure comes disassembled inside a sealed opaque package. All the pieces are already cut and either colored or pre-painted. Even decals are already attached, so all you need to do is put the pieces together. What’s new in Series 02 are the thigh parts. Unlike Series 01, Series 02 figurines now have an additional joint above the knee which allows for better leg articulation. This joint also allows for separate kneecaps, so the knees are no longer built into the boots of the figurines.

Having fun with my Marvel Blokees figurines.

The new thigh parts also gave me the most difficulty in assembling these Marvel Blokees figures. I had trouble figuring out an easy way to connect them until my last Series 02 figurine. Aside from this, anyone used to Blokees figures should find assembly to be an easy task. There isn’t a need to attach any decals or stickers since they already come attached to the parts. With the amount of Blokees experience under my belt, assembling the rest of the figure parts was very easy. One minor issue that I have is that it’s quite easy for a part to get dislodged, especially when posing them. But these figurines are meant for display and not for any rough play. Any part that’s dislodged during posing or handling can easily be put back again.

These Marvel Blokees figures also have decent articulation, which I didn’t expect for a small figurine that requires assembly. There are hinge joints for the knees and elbows, and ball-and-socket joints for the shoulders, wrists, hips, and ankles. The neck piece allows for the head to have some rotation. When assembled, these Marvel Blokees figures are definitely poseable.

Appearance and Details

I don’t expect one-to-one accuracy with the reference material, but I still expect these figurines to be close to what they are representing. Blokees Ant-Man is largely based on Ant-Man from Ant-Man and the Wasp, but he’s got the red knees from the Civil War costume.

Blokees Ant-Man is another figure that I originally didn’t plan on getting but I’m glad that I did because I’m really happy with how detailed it is. Starting with the head, which is really close to the source costume. The chest has the same red pattern with a silver nozzle in the middle. The Blokees version is missing two out of the sixpack of the source but it is not a glaring omission. Around the neck, you’ll also find silver components. The belt is also in silver, with the red regulator. The belt is missing what looks like metallic pockets at each side. Again, it is not an important omission.

Blokees Ant-Man upper body

Ant-Man’s upper body.

Each shoulder of Blokees Ant-Man has a patch of red which is an attempt to represent the full-on red shoulders of the source. It would have been more accurate if the entire shoulder was painted red. The arms are also missing the red strip that goes across the elbows. The forearms have silver vambraces that are a bit too large when compared to what the source has. Each of these have the distinct red horizontal line.

Blokees Ant-Man side

Left side of Ant-Man.

Blokees Ant-Man has the generic Marvel Blokees hands. Since the Ant-Man character does fight using punches, I would have preferred if this figure had closed fists instead of the generic hands made for holding items.

Blokees Ant-Man lower body

Ant-Man’s legs.

Like the other Series 02 figurines, Blokees Ant-Man has the new knee parts which have better articulation. The kneecaps are metallic red and look like they’re based on the Civil War version of the costume. Both hips are red on the outer side and black in front and towards the inside. The red just cuts off at the point where the knee parts connect to it. I wish Blokees ended the red patch properly instead of making it look like it goes on to the lower leg.

Blokees Ant-Man Back

Back of the Ant-Man figurine.

The back of Blokees Ant-man still offers some good details. His back sports a red pattern that is similar to what’s on his chest. There’s also a small silver pack that is connected to the tubes around the neck. You can see the reds at the side of the hips and shoulders from the back too.

Ant-Man vs Falcon

Ant-Man vs Falcon.

Unlike other Blokees Marvel figurines, Blokees Ant-Man does not have additional accessories or items. I wish Blokees had already come up with closed fists in Series 02 because they would have been a better fit with this figure.

Conclusion

To be honest, I had to think twice about getting any of the Marvel Infinity Saga Series 02 figurines. I’m glad I did because there’s a lot that I like about Blokees Ant-Man. I’m glad Blokees chose the costume from Ant-Man and the Wasp as a reference because that’s the best looking one. While the figurine has some minor issues, it gets a lot more things right.

Blokees Ant-Man posing

“Does anyone have any orange slices?”

The Ant-Man character did have prominent parts in Civil War and Endgame, so I think anyone collecting Marvel Blokees should consider adding Blokees Ant-Man to his/her collection. This figurine shows that Blokees is really looking to improve their figurines.
