I recently purchased a Blokees Rocket Raccoon figurine and I’d like to talk about it today!

What are Blokees?

People use the word Blokees in different ways. First, Blokees is a company that produces collectible plastic model figurines. These figurines have the Blokees brand and are referred to as Blokees themselves. At the time of this writing, the most popular Blokees are the Transformers line. But Blokees has been exploring other licenses, coming up with other series like Ultraman and Pokemon. Check out the official Blokees website for more information about them.

This year (2025), Blokees released the Marvel Infinity Saga Superhero Series 03 line of figurines. The Blokees Rocket Raccoon figurine that I’ll be reviewing today is part of the Marvel Infinity Saga Superhero Series 03 line. Note that Marvel Blokees are blind boxes – you don’t know what figurine you’ll get until you open it.

Blokees Marvel General Stuff

The Blokees Marvel Infinity Saga Superhero Series 03 figurines are very similar to each other. Most of the figurines use the same parts for the chest and torso internals, arms, and legs. So, what can be said about a specific figure in terms of assembly and articulation also applies to other figurines in the same line. A Blokees Marvel figure comes disassembled inside a sealed opaque package. All the pieces are already cut and either colored or pre-painted. Even decals are already attached, so all you need to do is put the pieces together. Series 03 has the improved knee joints from Series 02 that offers better leg articulation. In Series 03, these knee joints are already assembled out of the box, which is worth mentioning because they were hard to put together.

Having fun with my Marvel Blokees figurines.

Anyone used to Blokees figures should find assembly to be an easy task. There isn’t a need to attach any decals or stickers since they already come attached to the parts. With the amount of Blokees experience under my belt, assembling the rest of the figure parts was very easy. One minor issue that I have is that it’s quite easy for a part to get dislodged, especially when posing them. But these figurines are meant for display and not for any rough play. Any part that’s dislodged during posing or handling can easily be put back again.

These Marvel Blokees figures also have decent articulation, which I didn’t expect for a small figurine that requires assembly. There are hinge joints for the knees and elbows, and ball-and-socket joints for the shoulders, wrists, hips, and ankles. The neck piece allows for the head to have some rotation. When assembled, these Marvel Blokees figures are definitely poseable.

Appearance and Details

I don’t expect one-to-one accuracy with the reference material, but I still expect these figurines to be close to what they are representing. Blokees Rocket Raccoon looks like it is based on Rocket from Avengers: Infinity War.

Rocket Raccoon is special because there hasn’t been a figurine like it in the Marvel Infinity Saga line. It is significantly smaller and has really small arm and leg parts. I didn’t expect Blokees to make a Rocket model kit so soon because it goes against their approach of reusing parts formed from the same molds. In terms of scale, Rocket is much larger. In the films, Rocket is shorter than Star-Lord’s waist. Blokees Rocket Raccoon, however, goes up to Star-Lord’s chest level. This shouldn’t be an issue as Blokees model kits aren’t expected to be accurate when it comes to sizes.

However, there are a lot of issues with the Blokees Rocket Raccoon figurine, starting with the head. In the films, Rocket’s head is proportional to his body. Blokees Rocket has a large head. It is quite detailed, with large eyes and a mischievous grin. The glaring issue here is that there’s too much white. White just dominates his face.

Rocket’s upper body.

Despite the smaller size, Blokees Rocket Raccoon has a good amount of detail on his torso. He’s got several belt straps on the front and even has the two rectangular patches near the waist. Most Marvel Blokees figurines have a belt piece that is wider than the torso and Rocket also has a similar one. Because Rocket is smaller, the wider belt really stands out.

Blokees Rocket Raccoon’s arms are simply in brown. The size of the pieces are well-proportioned relative to the body. As for the legs, Rocket’s pants are a little short. The source has pants that go all the way down to above the ankle, but this one only goes as far as the knee. The pants do have patterns that match the source. The feet are another disappointment. Rocket Raccoon is barefoot, but Blokees Rocket has plain feet with no toes. They look like shoes instead of raccoon feet.

And the back of Blokees Rocket Raccoon isn’t without any problems as well. The head has Rocket’s fur molded so it does have texture. His back has that device that the source also has. He’s got a tail that surprisingly attaches to the belt. What’s unsightly are the holes at the back of Rocket’s leg pieces which are quite obvious.

Finally, Blokees Rocket Raccoon comes with a rifle accessory. It looks great, with a lot of details that matches the actual gun from the movie. My problem though is that the rifle is a little too big for Rocket’s arms. The size disparity makes it hard to find good single hand wielding poses for Rocket.

Conclusion

I found a lot of issues with Blokees Rocket Raccoon, but I still think this is a decent figurine. The issues that I have with the model kit are minor. Blokees Rocket still looks like Rocket Raccoon, and that’s what’s important for me. The only flaw that really stands out is all that white on Rocket’s face.

“I live for the simple things… like how much this is gonna hurt.”

This is probably the first and only time we’ll see Rocket Raccoon in Blokees form and I wish Blokees did a better job here. But what they did is good enough for me to keep this in my collection and not want a redo in future sets. If you’re a Guardians of the Galaxy fan and you’re collecting Blokees model kits, Blokees Rocket is good enough to add to your collection.
