I recently purchased a Blokees Bucky Barnes figurine and I’d like to talk about it today!

 

 

What are Blokees?

People use the word Blokees in different ways. First, Blokees is a company that produces collectible plastic model figurines. These figurines have the Blokees brand and are referred to as Blokees themselves. At the time of this writing, the most popular Blokees are the Transformers line. But Blokees has been exploring other licenses, coming up with other series like Ultraman and Pokemon. Check out the official Blokees website for more information about them.

This year (2025), Blokees released the Marvel Infinity Saga Superhero Series 03 line of figurines. The Blokees Bucky Barnes figurine that I’ll be reviewing today is part of the Marvel Infinity Saga Superhero Series 03 line. Note that Marvel Blokees are blind boxes – you don’t know what figurine you’ll get until you open it.

 

Blokees Marvel General Stuff

The Blokees Marvel Infinity Saga Superhero Series 03 figurines are very similar to each other. Most of the figurines use the same parts for the chest and torso internals, arms, and legs. So, what can be said about a specific figure in terms of assembly and articulation also applies to other figurines in the same line. A Blokees Marvel figure comes disassembled inside a sealed opaque package. All the pieces are already cut and either colored or pre-painted. Even decals are already attached, so all you need to do is put the pieces together. Series 03 has the improved knee joints from Series 02 that offers better leg articulation. In Series 03, these knee joints are already assembled out of the box, which is worth mentioning because they were hard to put together.

 

Anyone used to Blokees figures should find assembly to be an easy task. There isn’t a need to attach any decals or stickers since they already come attached to the parts. With the amount of Blokees experience under my belt, assembling the rest of the figure parts was very easy. One minor issue that I have is that it’s quite easy for a part to get dislodged, especially when posing them. But these figurines are meant for display and not for any rough play. Any part that’s dislodged during posing or handling can easily be put back again.

These Marvel Blokees figures also have decent articulation, which I didn’t expect for a small figurine that requires assembly. There are hinge joints for the knees and elbows, and ball-and-socket joints for the shoulders, wrists, hips, and ankles. The neck piece allows for the head to have some rotation. When assembled, these Marvel Blokees figures are definitely poseable.

 

Appearance and Details

I don’t expect one-to-one accuracy with the reference material, but I still expect these figurines to be close to what they are representing. Blokees Bucky Barnes is definitely based on Bucky from Avengers: Infinity War.

 

 

This Blokees Bucky Barnes figure is very accurate when compared to what it is referencing. He’s got long flowing hair, a beard, and a mustache. The chest comes in a dark shade of blue with dark gray shoulder pads. Both the chest and torso have engravings representing the linings on Bucky’s shirt. Surprisingly, this Bucky figurine does not have a belt piece.

 

 

Just like the source material, Blokees Bucky Barnes has a different left and right arm. His right arm comes in the same blue plastic as the chest and torso pieces, with a dark gray forearm attachment and a generic Blokees hand. The left arm represents Bucky’s vibranium arm so it comes in black with thick gold lining. In my opinion, this gold lining is actually too thick but doesn’t detract too much from the figure.

 

 

Another first for a Marvel Blokees Infinity Saga figure: Bucky’s left lower arm does not have a forearm attachment. Blokees Bucky Barnes comes with two left hands and a rifle accessory. One is a closed fist which is great for punching poses. The second is a pointing hand which can also be used to hold the rifle accessory. The rifle comes in what appears to be gunmetal color and is actually quite detailed. A magazine piece attaches to the side. Unfortunately, this rifle only fits in Bucky’s pointing left hand.

 

 

In terms of the lower body, Blokees Bucky Barnes is a good representation of the source, except for one issue that is common to Marvel Blokees figures. The crotch and hip parts come in army green. There is a knife holster attachment that is placed on the right hip.

 

 

The issue that I mentioned has to do with Bucky’s boots. Here, it comes in brown that goes all the way up to the knees. This isn’t a major issue but it is noticeable. In case you aren’t aware yet, Bucky Barnes comes with the improved knees.

 

 

There’s not much that I can say when it comes to the back of Blokees Bucky Barnes. It continues whatever you see in the front: engravings on the back and torso, gold linings on the left arm, and boots that go all the way to under Bucky’s knees.

And yet another Blokees Infinity Saga first for me. Infinity Saga Series 4 has Winter Soldier. And that figure has a similar pointing left hand which can also hold Bucky’s rifle accessory. I got used to Blokees not having continuity across different Series (e.g. Mjolnir not fitting the new Thor’s hands) so this was a pleasant surprise for me.

 

Conclusion

Winter Soldier has been in my Blokees wishlist for quite some time. While Blokees Bucky Barnes isn’t the version that I wanted, I’m still quite happy to have him. It is so fun to recreate scenes from Avengers: Infinity War and Bucky is a must have if you’re fond of doing so. The figure itself is quite accurate with minor issues.

 

 

I already mentioned that Bucky’s rifle is compatible with Winter Soldier from Infinity Saga Series 4 but that’s not the only compatible piece. Winter Soldier is actually masked. If you want an unmasked version, Bucky has the perfect head piece for swapping. So if you like Avengers: Infinity War or are a fan of the Winter Soldier character, you should definitely look into adding Blokees Bucky Barnes in your collection too.
