Recently, I’ve been using Patch Codes (also known as PNACH codes) to improve PS2 game performance in AetherSX2. This AetherSX2 Patch Codes Repository is to make the codes that I’ve used and tested available to other people.

 

 

HOW TO USE THE PATCH CODES

There are several ways to use these patch codes, but I’m going to talk about what I think is the easiest way to get them. You’ll need a Windows PC to follow these steps. Please note that I’m using AetherSX2 V 1.4-3060, which you can get here. I don’t know how the menus are configured in other AetherSX2 versions so if you’re using a different one, I won’t be able to help you (I don’t want to install a different version on my devices).

1. Copy the Patch Codes for the game in their entirety.
2. On Windows, Open Notepad.
3. Paste the Patch Codes in the empty text file and save it.
4. Insert the SD card that you’re using on your gaming device into your PC.
5. Copy the text file that you just created in any of the folders of the SD card.
6. Eject the SD card and insert it in your gaming device.
7. Run AetherSX2 then run the game that you want to use the patch codes on.
8. Go into the game specific settings then press Patch Codes.

9. If you get an error message, just press Don’t Show Message Again.
10. On the next screen, press Add Patch.

11. Press Import From File on the next screen.

12. Navigate to the folder where you saved your patch codes text file earlier.
13. Select your patch codes text file.
14. Press Enable Patches, then reset your game in the AetherSX2 menu.
